What's new

Release notes

What changed on citt.academy and in the member portal, in plain language. Newest first.

August 2, 2026

A clearer first visit

  • The homepage now speaks to someone deciding whether to walk in: what a first visit looks like, what to bring, and that coming alone is normal — most people do.
  • Signing up as a single adult no longer reads like paperwork for a family. The signup walkthrough now links each step to the real page it happens on.
  • Waitlist fairness fix: a canceled spot that was never actually holding a seat can no longer promote someone into a full program.

August 1, 2026

Account security

  • Password reset and email verification are built into accounts. Resetting your password signs out every other session on the account.
  • If a Google or Apple sign-in can't be linked to your account, the page now explains why instead of failing silently.
  • Age rules are stated where you can see them: logins are for ages 13 and up, and whoever creates a household confirms they're an adult.
  • Payment options no longer overflow the screen on phones, and error pages no longer expose technical internals.
  • Behind the scenes: automated checks now run on every change, nightly database backups are verified restorable, and the team is alerted the moment something breaks.

July 30–31, 2026

A smoother start, sturdier rails

  • First sign-in now walks you through the setup that matters: add your players, sign the waiver, pick a plan.
  • Membership buttons on the site take you straight to the portal instead of asking you to call.
  • Signing in no longer occasionally bounces you back to the sign-in page after you've succeeded.
  • Money handling was hardened end to end: refunds are queued and tracked, every payment is reconciled against Stripe nightly, and nothing moves money unless both sides agree.
  • A deep cleanup pass put every date, time, and dollar amount through one shared formatter — the same value now reads the same everywhere.

July 29, 2026

The club calendar

  • An hour-by-hour club calendar shows what's on the floor any day — lessons, classes, leagues, camps. Click any block for the details.
  • Every schedule view now reads from the same source, so the portal and the site can't disagree about what's happening.
  • The club's liability waiver is published on the site instead of living on paper.
  • A design pass brought every page back onto one consistent visual system.

July 22–24, 2026

Apple sign-in and coach tools

  • Sign in with Apple joined Google sign-in, on the web and in the iPhone app.
  • Coaches keep session notes on their students — from the desk or standing at the door on a phone.
  • Membership billing got simpler: the $35 setup fee is gone, and pricing is set separately for bank transfer and card.
  • League standings now show the club's real rosters, not sample players.
  • The iPhone app reached TestFlight.

July 17–18, 2026

League nights and drop-ins

  • League nights have a real flow: confirm your spot up to 30 minutes before start, or release it for someone else. Join the standby list to be alerted when a spot opens.
  • Substitutes can grab released league spots — free for members, $10 for non-members.
  • You can drop into a single group-class session instead of committing to the whole program.
  • League scoring now says "match" — the traditional "rubber" is retired.
  • Work began on a native iPhone app.

July 15–16, 2026

Families, ratings, and roles

  • Household accounts: invite family members, guardians approve what juniors do, and teens 13 and up get their own logins.
  • Link your official USATT rating to your profile — search by name, and it stays current automatically overnight.
  • The portal now shows each person what's relevant to them — player, parent, coach, or admin — instead of one dashboard for everyone.

July 12–14, 2026

A new look

  • A complete redesign of the site and portal: light, fast, and consistent, live at citt.academy.
  • Groundwork laid for the competition, facility, and pro-shop areas of the portal.

July 5, 2026

The member portal opens

  • Member accounts arrived, with Google sign-in.
  • Book private lessons online — the schedule makes double-booking a coach or a table impossible, by construction.
  • Register for programs and camps, with real capacity limits and waitlists.
  • Pay online: memberships, one-off registrations, hour packages that bank lesson credit, and monthly class enrollments — bank transfer first, cards too.
  • Your dashboard shows your signups, history, and memberships in one place.
  • Coaches check players in at the door, and USATT ratings sync nightly.
  • The site went live at citt.academy.

July 4, 2026

citt.academy launches

  • A new home on the web: membership pricing, the coaching pathway, club rankings, the weekly schedule, and the real coaching staff.
